Sensorimotor Psychotherapy

❇️ Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP) is a complete therapeutic modality for trauma and attachment issues. It takes a holistic approach that includes somatic, emotional and cognitive processing, and integration.

❇️ This unified approach to healing recognises the wisdom of the body as an integral source of information and healing. The body is used to bring resourcing, as well as to access and process challenging, traumatic and developmental experience.

❇️ With the support of a compassionate and collaborative therapist facilitating the mindful self-study of bodily sensations, posture, actions and autonomic dysregulation, clients are able to  discover and change habitual physical and psychological patterns that impede well-being.

❇️ Sensorimotor Psychotherapy is helpful in working with PTSD and other effects of trauma, as well as the limiting belief systems of developmental injury. It helps clients cultivate their strengths, while providing enough challenge to stimulate growth, long-lasting change and well-being.
