Integrative therapy is a type of psychotherapy that uses a combination of therapeutic tools tailored to the needs of the client. It considers each client as a whole, taking into account their personal circumstances.
By integrating approaches, the emotional, behavioural, cognitive (thinking style), social and physical needs and issues the patient is experiencing can be addressed together.
The therapist works with the client to recognise the triggers of unhelpful behaviour patterns, and integrative therapy can be used to address issues such as addiction, depression, trauma, low self-esteem and bereavement.
