Person-Centred Counselling
Person-centred therapy is a humanistic approach based upon the client’s own self-perception, rather then a counselor’s interpretation of the client’s unconscious motivation and thoughts. The framework of this therapy sees individuals as having the innate ability to develop to their potential, and the client develops a sense of being accepted in the therapeutic relationship and able to connect to their own values and feelings. The approach can benefit clients suffering with depression, stress, anxiety, grief and other mental health issues.
