About
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am listed on their Approved Register of Counsellors. I am also a BUPA registered practitioner. I offer individual, couples, and family therapy, as well as counselling and coaching, supported by over 30 years of professional experience.
I originally trained in person-centred counselling at the London School of Counselling and Psychotherapy. My practice is now integrative at its core, allowing me to draw on a range of evidence-based approaches to meet the individual needs of each client. I have worked with a diverse client base, including adults, teenagers, families, students, and individuals in the public eye, and I maintain a strong commitment to ethical practice and ongoing professional development.
Therapeutic Approach
My integrative approach is grounded in a person-centred philosophy, combined with therapeutic models such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches. This enables me to tailor therapy to each client’s circumstances, preferences, and goals.
I believe that a safe, empathetic, and non-judgemental therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change. I work collaboratively, supporting clients to gain insight, develop resilience, and find practical strategies for managing emotional and relational challenges.
Areas of Experience and Specialism
I have extensive experience working with adults and young people presenting with a wide range of issues, including:
● Stress and anxiety
● ADHD
● Inner child and developmental trauma
● Depression and low mood
● Anger management
● Communication and relationship difficulties
● Personal growth and self-awareness
I also work with bereavement and loss, low self-esteem, family breakdown and divorce, domestic abuse, and relationship difficulties.
Couples and Family Therapy
My work with couples focuses on improving communication, rebuilding trust, understanding emotional needs and attachment styles, and navigating conflict in a safe and constructive way. I aim to help couples and families develop healthier, more supportive patterns of relating.
Neurodiversity
My previous experience as a support worker for autistic children has provided valuable insight into the needs of neurodiverse individuals and their families, and this understanding informs my inclusive and sensitive approach.
How I Work
I provide a confidential, supportive, and non-judgemental space in which clients can explore their difficulties at their own pace. Whether you are seeking support with anxiety, processing past experiences, navigating relationship challenges, or working towards personal growth, I offer compassionate and professional support throughout your therapeutic journey.
